GLRA Landfill Expansion Public Meeting Presentation 5/09/19

On Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 6:00 PM, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) hosted a public meeting at the Cornwall-Lebanon School District’s Ebenezer Elementary School located at 1600 Colonial Circle, Lebanon, PA.  The Public Meeting was held to answer questions from the public regarding the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority’s Major Permit Modification Application to the expand the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority Landfill located in North Lebanon and North Annville Townships.

The application is for an expansion on top of the existing closed Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority Landfill. The expansion includes 47 acres of constructed landfill cells. The expansion, if granted, would add an additional 15 years of capacity to the landfill. During the meeting, Authority Officials and DEP Staff answered questions from the public regarding the application and the application review process.
